Rotterdam · Non-Ferrous Trading

Raw materials, responsibly sourced.

Noble Core is a commodity merchant company supplying non-ferrous metals — primarily from recycled streams — from Rotterdam, Europe's hub for the commodities we supply, to smelters and producers worldwide. A focused book, an experienced desk, and a network that reaches well beyond metals when our customers need it.

Rooted in Rotterdam.

Noble Core is a commodity merchant company based in the Port of Rotterdam. We connect collectors and processors of secondary material with the smelters and producers that consume it — physical trade, with all the logistics, finance and compliance that comes with it.

Foundry — molten metal being poured
01 — Location

The right hub

Rotterdam is Europe's gateway for raw materials: deep-water access, established warehousing, customs expertise, and a dense network of recyclers and processors within an hour's drive. That's why we're here.

02 — Focus

Non-ferrous, primarily secondary

Aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, nickel and their alloys form the backbone of our book. The majority of our flow originates from end-of-life products and industrial scrap that re-enters primary industry through us.

03 — Reach

Adjacent markets

Our network and trading discipline extend beyond non-ferrous metals. Where the counterparty fit is right and the opportunity is real, we trade in adjacent commodity markets — selectively, never at the expense of focus.

What we do.

Every shipment goes through the same disciplines. The work behind a clean contract is in these layers.

/ 01

Sourcing & aggregation

Working with collectors, dismantlers and industrial scrap generators to aggregate volumes that match smelter feed specifications. Small streams become bulk parcels.

Scrap Dross By-product
/ 02

Specification & quality

Every parcel is graded, sampled and matched against buyer specifications — from ISRI codes for scrap to LME-compliant secondary alloys.

ISRI LME Sampling
/ 03

Logistics & handling

Container, bulk and break-bulk shipping from Rotterdam and partner ports. Customs, surveying, warehousing and last-mile haulage handled as a single line.

Container Bulk Customs
/ 04

Trade finance

Working capital between supplier and end-user, so counterparties on both ends keep operating. Letters of credit, pre-payment structures, and tailored arrangements.

LC Pre-payment Hedging
/ 05

Risk & price management

LME-based hedging, fixed-price contracts and structured pricing — designed around the realities of secondary-material flow rather than imposed on top of it.

LME hedging Fixed price Structured
/ 06

Compliance & chain of custody

Waste-shipment regulation (EVOA / WSR), KYC, ESG documentation and full chain-of-custody tracking — non-negotiable and increasingly demanded by smelters and regulators.

How we operate.

Noble Core works across the full breadth of the non-ferrous market — sourcing, qualifying and supplying material wherever our expertise creates value. We trade on our own book: we take ownership, carry the risk, and stand behind every trade.

Noble Core

A principal trading house — active across every stage below, on our own book.

Market 01

Sourcing

End-of-life products, industrial scrap and by-products — secured directly through our supplier network.

Market 02

Processing & qualification

Material graded, sampled and matched to specification — ready for primary industry feed.

Market 03

Primary industry

Smelters and refiners that convert raw material into refined metal and alloys.

Market 04

End-product manufacturers

Automotive, construction, packaging, electronics — where the material returns to use.

Materials we trade.

Our core book is non-ferrous metal in various forms — refined, alloyed, and as scrap or by-product feedstock for smelters. The list is indicative; specifications and grades are agreed per contract.

— Beyond metals

Adjacent markets.

Non-ferrous is our foundation, but it is not the whole desk. We actively trade petroleum products and petrochemicals alongside our metals book — building the relationships, the market access and the execution to back it up. These are pursued businesses, not by-products.

Secondary material — back into the loop
— Circularity

The cleanest tonne of metal is the one already above ground.

Producing aluminium from recycled scrap takes roughly 5% of the energy required to produce it from bauxite. Copper, zinc, lead — the same story with different multipliers. Every tonne we route from waste-stream to smelter is a tonne that doesn't have to be mined.

EU regulation is catching up: the Critical Raw Materials Act, the revised Waste Shipment Regulation, and rising scope-3 reporting from end-users are reshaping how secondary material moves. We work with that frame, not against it.
